Gamma Iota Chapter Sets Health and Safety Guidelines for the Fall with Capital Campaign End in Sight
As the developing crisis of COVID-19 impacts the health and daily routines of billions of people worldwide, we are all being challenged in ways we haven’t been before. First and foremost, Gamma Iota Chapter wishes good health to all brothers and wants to remind you of the strong support system you have in our great brotherhood.
Health and Safety Policies at Gamma Iota
Due to the concerns of COVID-19, the Shelter will follow the University’s policy and require masks be worn on the premises in public areas. Masks will not be required for certain activities such as eating or playing basketball outside. Dinners will be served on disposable plates, and active members will be encouraged to take their meals home to eat them. However, the dining area will hold 50% capacity to allow actives to eat in the house if they would like.
Safe social gatherings will take place in accordance with what state and city governments and local businesses allow us to do. With external help, we hope to create some experiences that will give our members social programming that emphasizes health. Our collegians had a tough task at hand with preparing Gamma Iota for the fall. Meanwhile, it’s hard for us as alumni to plan ahead for the next week, day, or even hour to support our families while life as we know it seems to constantly change.
